STANDS:
The Friederici and Schiedmayer instruments include a turned or square
tapered stand
attached to the corners of the instrument. The Hass and Gerlach
instruments include framed stands with cabriole legs, or with turned or
square tapered legs and a lower stretcher.
OPTIONS: The Van Hemessen, both Anonymous, and Hubert instruments
were probably placed on tables originally. A turned trestle stand can be
made for either of the Anonymous instruments. The Hubert can have either
a turned stand attached to the corners of the instrument, or a skirt
stand with turned legs as presently under the original. The lids of the
Anonymous instruments can be made in the same wood as the rest of the
instrument. Chinoiserie and/or lid paintings on the Hamburg instruments,
or painted decoration on the other clavichords available. Padded covers
and/or matching stools available. Please enquire about the cost of any
of the options. |
